Key Points From This Episode:
- Having kids doesn’t mean your vision changes, but that as a family you will have to adapt to each new season as kids grow and require more or less time.
- Kids are both a gift and included in the command to make disciples.
- Discipling as a family means that you can access and disciple men, women, and children. Inviting families into your home allows you to model Godly marriages and parenting to people who have never seen that example before. And as kids get older, they can also join in the work.
- wives learning language well will create more freedom
- make an agreement for how to facilitate ministry between husband and wife in every season
- work toward having an open house that can be a place for ministry
- prioritize your own relationships with Jesus and also in protecting the marriage — this connectedness to Jesus and to each other can often cover a multitude of issues!
