Living Like We Believe in the God of the Impossible

faith

It’s easy to say, “God can do anything.” We declare, “He is the God of the impossible!” But do our daily actions reflect that belief? Faith isn’t just words—it’s demonstrated through choices that lean hard on God to do what we cannot. As we pursue movements for Christ, we must continually grow as people of faith. Those who catalyze movements don’t just talk about faith—they live it. Their trust in God shows up in bold steps and audacious prayers.

How Faith Grows

Faith and trust go hand in hand. Trust deepens as we know God better and experience His work in our lives. Over time, we learn to depend on Him for greater things. Here are a few ways to grow your faith:

  • Spend regular time in God’s Word (Romans 10:17).
  • Take intentional faith risks that stretch you.
  • Invite God to heal trust issues rooted in your past.
  • Remind yourself of His faithfulness in your life.

Throw Me Higher, Daddy

When my kids were little, they loved it when my husband threw them high in the air. The higher he tossed them, the louder they screamed, “Again, Daddy!” They trusted his strength completely—both to throw them and to catch them. That’s the kind of faith God wants us to have in Him. He delights when we trust Him enough to enjoy the adventure of life and ministry.

Yes, ministry is serious. People are lost and hurting. But even as we labor, God invites us to delight in Him and embrace the thrill of the ride. We are on His team, working to launch and sustain Disciple Making Movements among the unreached. Let’s ask Him for grace to grow in faith and enjoy the journey.

Faith in Action

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” How do we demonstrate that faith?

Here are five practical ways:

1.Reach out to the lost. Build real relationships across cultural and religious boundaries. Share your story and invite others to explore God’s Word with you.

2. Pray audacious prayers. Don’t settle for “bless me” prayers. Ask God for impossible things that align with His heart for a broken world.

3. Set bold, God-sized goals. Forget flimsy resolutions. Declare visions that require God’s power to accomplish.

4. Invest in imperfect people. See others through God’s eyes. Believe in their potential and trust them with responsibilities that stretch their faith.

5. Live generously. Give sacrificially, even beyond your comfort zone. Generosity is a powerful act of faith.

This week, how will you demonstrate your faith?

Take a risk. Pray big. Give generously. And most of all, trust your Father to catch you when you leap.
