LISTEN TO THE EPISODE ABOVE

Summary:

Dry, barren lands that have been resistant to Gospel witness are prime places for a move of God. In this episode, Aila Tasse, author of a new book- Cabbages in the Dessert, is the leader of Lifeway Global in Nairobi, Kenya. He shares his story and experiences of multiplying disciples among the unreached of East Africa and beyond and he and Cynthia discuss what it means to work in these resistant parts of the world.

Key Points from this episode:

  • I made an appointment with God, to talk to Him as a Father…and I got there early.
  • I didn’t need a new religion, I already had a good one, what I needed was forgiveness of sins.
  • We need to change the invitation from a call to a decision, to a call to become a disciple of Jesus.
  • Aila prayed to God, “Don’t send me to tell them, if you don’t also send me to teach them.”
  • The role of the church is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry
  • We must keep a strong focus on the lost and the mission of the church rather than being distracted by the programs of the church.
  • Persecution can be used by God to send people out.
  • Go or send, but no one can say I cannot. No matter their income or wealth, we all must do something to reach the lost.
